Ecotone

So I've been away for a few or more days.. I finally found a new job and surprisingly, have been working double shifts since... I've been so tired that I have neglected my upkeep here on DA. I haven't even had time to really focus on finishing my own projects. Which, has made me realized something that I'd hate to consider...
   I may be watching too many people and/or groups.. :/
   In such a short time, I have managed to rack up over 12.000 messages. 97% being new deviations.. The trouble is that I don't want to over look any of them.. :/ There are many amazing pieces in a sea of mediocrity. And I don't wanna rush over them... But I shall do what I have to. You peeps are awesome and I'm not gonna dodge your work out of laziness.

ANYWAY>>. I get tomorrow/today off.. and I will get to roll through everything and at the 3%, get to say thank you and catch up on the talks.

I'm thinking about posting my first feature at the end of the week. I just have to decide the focus. hmm... we'll see what I come up with. XD

So I ended up  become to eager to finish this mask that I am working on.. After too long, I sat back and glanced over it for a bit and found that I don't like the direction I am going with it. So.. I'm gonna have to cut some parts off and rebuild.. Shouldn't be too much trouble. I just hate to waste the time and resources.. Maybe I work with it, IDK. But I'd like to get  done with it soon so I can work on a new project and show this one off.

Is it just me or are there more and more people on DA for the soul purpose of feeding their sexual ego through voyeurism? I give'm a chance and check out their gallery. Maybe it's a rough patch for them and they just wanna stay persistent in their work. No, same person, same photo, and if one, different outfit...
Now, I'm not hating on nudes, fetish, expressive, emotive, etc. I think a lot of people know what I'm talking about. The stuff that qualifies as a decent photo only because it's in focus and has a hot chick in it(and it's not always a hot chick women :/ ).  
It's nice to look at, easy to ignore, zero substance... Call it what it is. Amateur porn.. Once again, I'm not dissing their little hobby but... why don't ya go to a website that's specifically for it and make some money? you'd have the exact same fan base...

Am I wrong here?..

Alright, so I think my problem is that I have been tracing the traditional lines lately and I need to get my hands dirty and have some real fun with it. So I'm gonna do a three dimensional painting  since I can't decide what medium to work with and mix them all together... This should be a breath of fresh air. well... as long as I'm in a well ventilated area...
